Tours and tours with tastings in the winery
During the visit through the winery you will see the old earthenware jars dated from the end of XIX century, the modern fittings with self-drained deposits of stainless steel with fermentation temperature control, the ageing room with avant-garde style inaugurated in 2003 and designed by the architects Bernalte & León, which has been published in well-known architecture journals. For finishing the tour, we will visit the bottling area. After it, we will visit the exhibition hall prepared for tastings, courses, conferences, exhibitions, … If you choose the tour with tasting of the wines elaborated at the cellar, the tasting and a lunch of typical tapas will take place at this exhibition hall.
Visit to the archaeological site ‘Calatrava La Vieja’
At mid-morning we can visit the archaeological site ‘Calatrava La Vieja’, around twelve or half past twelve, we will visit the cellar and in the end the tasting will take place.
Tasting courses
The cellar organizes tasting courses of 8 hours long monthly; they are distributed in two days, Thursdays and Fridays afternoons, of 4 hours long each.
During the first day, the course will be taught by one lecturer of the Castilla La Mancha University and the main focus is the vine-growing and some instructions about tastings.
During the second day of course, a famous oenologist will teach everything related to the elaboration and tasting, everything in a pleasant and relaxed way. We will finish with a visit to the winery and a lunch.
